Farmers Market

Every Monday for the next four months there is a local Farmer's Market one block from our apartment. The produce was gorgeous and much more reasonable than at the local store. Heads of leaf lettuce were 70 E each (about $1.00), artichokes were 60 E each, and a bunch of giant green onions that weighed 2 lbs was 1 E. The strawberries were dark red, ripe, and melted in our mouth. I am a bit intimidated trying to communicate with Greeks, but it was fun to buy the produce at this street market. Other produce that was available included zuccini, small green pears, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, red and green peppers, potatoes, and leeks.

Man I wish that we had even half the decent produce down here that it sounds likeyou have there. Bit jealous, Theo would love the colors of all the food I bet!
