Happy 62nd. B-Day

Ano Nuevo State Park/Preserve

Ted and I traveled to Ano Nuevo State Park (1.5 hours away) and went on a guided tour to see elephant seals basking/fighting on the beach. If you click on some of the photos you will see dark shapes ... those are some of the 3,000 plus pound male creatures. I had never been to the site and LOVED it. Maybe I will make another reservation and return in February. There are supposed to be a lot more elephant seals there then. Ano Nuevo means "New Year." Pretty appropriate to go on New Years Eve!!

Hidden Villa

Hidden Villa is a preserve set in the hills between Palo Alto and the Santa Cruz Mountains. Jody & I went there to do some hiking, but it began to rain so we cancelled the hike. It is a beautiful spot and includes trails, an antique swimming pool, an organic garden, an educational center and farm animals. Seemed like the kind of place I would love to visit again in the sun. (I went here as a child with my brownie troop.)

Front Yard Work Begins

Doug leant a helping hand as heavy pruning began in the front yard.
Click on each photo to get full impact of what was cut down.

Walk in S.F. Baylands

Jody & Laurie walked on the E. side of the SF Bay in a National Wildlife Refuge

Christmas at 2051

Relatives at 2051. You can figure out who they all are... but I must admit... two of the folks I had never seen/met....
