This smiling woman in blue was our tour guide in Ephesus. The first thing she said was "Welcome to Turkey," which was pretty routine. The next thing she said was her name, which I can't remember. And the third thing she said was, "Welcome to Asia!" We had made the leap from one continent to the other without much thought. This guide was always smiling and made it sound like Turkey was the center of the universe. She deserves a big pay raise!!
