Mollie

Two days ago Mollie's daughter called me to say that she was failing. Yesterday I drove up to see my once vibrant friend. At first I was surprised at her dark lips and sallow color, but there was a sweet spirit in her room which comforted me. For a brief moment when she saw me her entire face lit up and she smiled. There was no conversation, but I knew she recognized me. At age 100 I guess her time is up... Thanks for all the card games, chats, laughs and advice you so graciously gave, dear Mollie. You will be missed. The above photo was taken at her 100th B-day party in July 2010 at her favorite spot, Narragansett Town Beach.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend. She really was unique and such good example of how to live and enjoy. She was blessed with a long, full life and I'm sure she's having a grand time on the other side.
