50 Year Old Spices
After I threw these 50 year old spices in the trash, Mike dug them out and took them home. (Not for the spices, which were long gone, but for the antique tins) "What are you going to do with them? I asked, "Sell them on e-Bay??"Wednesday, January 6, 2010
Farewell
Mike was kind enough to drive Ted and me up to SFO at 3:30 am this morning. I'm assuming that Ted is somehwhere over the Atlantic even as I type. His trip back involves almost 24 hours of traveling door to door. Hopefully it was not too exhausting. I'll miss you.
PA Baylands
Ted and I took one last stroll thru the Baylands. As you can see in the water there was NO WIND and it was in the 60's. Except for the constant noise of airplanes taking off from the local airport... it was very peaceful.Saturday, January 2, 2010
Pleasant Afternoon
Can you believe... I slept till 9:45 this morning??? After walking Bingo for her daily 30 minute stroll I returned to Grandma's where Ted and I worked in the yard for an hour. At two Andy and an old friend joined us for lunch at Kirk's. Ted and I used to eat at Kirk's 30 years ago when it was on California Ave. It is now at Town and Country Village... but the hamburgers were just as delicious. The four of us then went to visit our old boss at the City of Palo Alto Pools. He recently celebrated his 77th. b-day!!! We had a great time... The afternoon ended as the sun was setting... and found Ted and I walking with my Mom and Dad and Bingo... around the block.
