My brother, Mike, had 18 tomatoe plants still growing in the backyard. No longer very productive, it was time to begin removing them. The pick mattock came in handy!! No fruit is allowed in the yard waste cans so I had to remove all the tomatoes from the vines before cramming them in the can, thus the two piles in the foreground. My goal was to remove/dispose of 10 plants. I only got to 8.5. With 4 days of rain expected beginning tomorrrow night, it may be a while till the job is finished.
