Day Off

These canyon photos are taken from lookout spots along the North Rim
Although weather forecast called for thunderstorms/hail, we went to Yellowstone anyway and had a great time.  Luckily I had been there in September with John and kind of knew my way around.  We were gone all day and saw some of the many highlights.  It was jam packed with tourists. We also saw lone buffalo a couple elk, and a 300 pound bear only 10 INCHES from the side of a very small road.  Jody quickly rolled up the windows!!!  Weather did turn nasty, but only when we were 5 minutes from home.  (Pea sized hail and lots of rain.)
